Introduction

Girls in East Africa face many challenges, including poverty, gender discrimination, and lack of access to education and healthcare. Put Her Best Foot Forward Africa is working to address these challenges and create a better future for girls in the region.

We are a US-based non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting the lives of the girl-child in East Africa, particularly in Kenya. We have in Nairobi, Machakos, and Makueni. 

Our approach involves collaborating with local schools, communities, organizations, and the government to provide essential educational resources, promote sexual and sanitary health, and offer job training skills.

Put Her Best Foot Forward Africa envisions a world where every girl-child has the opportunity to overcome obstacles, break barriers, and achieve her dreams. 

We are committed to providing comprehensive support that encompasses education, health, and skill development, ensuring that young girls can build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

We are highly involved in:

  • Education: Education is the foundation of empowerment. We partner with schools and educational institutions to provide resources, scholarships, and mentorship programs that encourage young girls to pursue and excel in their studies.
  • Sexual and Sanitary Health: Ensuring the well-being and health of young girls is paramount. We conduct awareness programs, and workshops, and provide essential sanitary products to ensure their overall health and hygiene.
  • Job Training Skills: Equipping girls with relevant job skills is crucial for their future success. Through training programs, internships, and vocational workshops, we empower them to gain valuable skills that open doors to better employment opportunities.

Success Story: Lucy’s Journey to Empowerment

Lucy, a determined and resilient young girl from a humble background, found her path to empowerment through Put Her Best Foot Forward Africa. 

Born and raised in a small village in rural Kenya, Lucy faced numerous challenges that hindered her dreams and aspirations. She faced the harsh reality of limited access to quality education and inadequate healthcare resources. 

Her family struggled to make ends meet, and the prevailing cultural norms often restricted her opportunities. However, Lucy’s spirit remained unbroken, and she harbored a strong desire for a better future.

With our continued support, Lucy successfully gained admission to a prestigious university, where she is currently pursuing her dreams and expanding her horizons.

Today, Lucy stands as a beacon of hope and success, breaking stereotypes and challenging societal norms. She continues to strive for greatness, aiming to uplift her community and serve as an inspiration for young girls facing similar challenges.
